Who says September is all about slowing down? I’m feeling anything but ready to pause! With the weather this gorgeous, I’m surprised I’m getting any work done at all. The woods are calling, and after a late afternoon hike, I’m grateful for some energizing goodies straight from my garden.
I just saw a headline that said, “Hiking is Nature’s Therapy!” Well, I couldn’t agree more! Something about being outdoors this time of year fills me with energy. But as much as I’d love to spend the whole day wandering the trails, work is calling. The beauty of it? We’ve got nature at our fingertips—whether it’s hiking through the forest or harvesting fresh herbs from the garden.
Speaking of which, it’s time to harvest some rosemary! There’s nothing quite like the scent of fresh rosemary to bring a little spark into your day. Plus, making rosemary-infused oil is as energizing as it is fun! And if you’re feeling creative, you can even drizzle it on a salad—add a squeeze of lemon, a pinch of salt, and pepper for a simple, zesty dressing.
Rosemary Infused Oil:
Ingredients:
1 cup of fresh rosemary sprigs
1 cup of olive oil or your preferred carrier oil
Instructions:
Gently bruise the rosemary sprigs to release their oils.
Place them in a clean glass jar and cover with oil.
Seal the jar and place it in a warm, sunny spot for 1-2 weeks, shaking occasionally.
Strain the oil and store it in a cool, dark place.
